EPOXYFUGA | sealant
Two component epoxy sealant
What it is used for
Epoxyfuga is a two-component high performance epoxy sealant for natural stone paving joints to be used in a liquid state and subsequently hardened by atmospheric humidity. It allows the laying of paving for driveways used even by heavy vehicles and is aesthetically unobtrusive and relatively easy to lay. It has a high adhesion to all substrates, so that can be used for bonding natural stone tiles and many other different types of building artifacts when you want to give bonding special mechanical and chemical resistance.
Strong points
• Withstands even heavy traffic and busy
• Rapid aging (24 hours)
• Can be used in high humidity conditions
• Absorbs thermal expansion and vibration levels
• Durable
• Also resists mechanical sweepers, frost, heat, acids and salt
• Easy to use
• Facilitates the maintenance of underground facilities: artifacts that are removed can be recycled.
• Better technical characteristics than sand sealing, with cement or tar grout
• Resistant to acids
How to use the product
The joints to be sealed are prepared by removing all substances that could prevent adhesion, such as oils, grease, dust, cement adhesives, etc. It is not necessary to any type of primer in the gaps that need to be filled, new and unknown materials are used. Pour Epoxyfuga component A into component B and mechanical stir until a smooth paste is obtained. Proceed immediately with the laying of the grout about 40-45 minutes after mixing the components, at 20 °C.
Recommended use
Excellent for high traffic use areas (vehicular roads, squares, etc.)
Consumption
Indicative yield of 3-4 kg per m2 (for type 8/10 cm size cubes), for variable tiles depending on the size of the joints and of the inert materials used to saturate them.
Bedding
splitflex natural stone or gravel with a grain size 3/6mm
