Sealant for grouting paving and coverings

What it is used for

Colourfuga is a sealant composed of cement mortar to be prepared with the addition of water only at the time of use to obtain a mixture specifically formulated for use with natural stone tile joints, and with many other types of materials. It is suitable for sealing outside areas and interiors when quick completion is required, for example, swimming pools, terraces, flat roofs, balconies, airports, public buildings, shopping malls, private homes, etc.

How to use the product

Use the normal amount of care and best practices on all surfaces. If used on stones and absorbing materials, we recommend testing the cleanability of the sealant in advance to prevent deep stains: If required pre-treat the surface with the anti-staining Maskstone product. Do not use in expansion joints or joints subject to movement. Seal the joints completely filling them carefully using a special rubber spatula, avoiding gaps or depressions. Remove excess product immediately after using the product. Colourfuga is available in 29 colours. Should the grout persist on the treated surface 10-12 days after sealing, you can use a mild acid such as Cleanstone.

Consumption

The consumption depends on the format of the tiles and the size of the gaps. Indicatively, for a gap with a 5 mm width: about 1 kg/m2 for a 30x30 cm and 2 cm thick tile, about 0.8 kg/m2 for a 30x30 cm and 1.5 cm thick tile etc.
