Clogs with processed surfaces, which are instead derived from blocks, are uniform in terms of thickness: The finishing of the surfaces of any external sides may be carried out by flaming, coating, smoothing or polishing. The skirting is used as an ancillary finishing to exterior paving and stairways (combined or not combined by type of material and surface finish). Similarly to the skirting, it is used inside buildings in order to cover the imperfections of joints between floors and walls.
